Solid State Drive

Solid-state drive (SSD) is a data storage device that uses non-moving flash memory to store persistent data. It consists of just NAND, a controller, connectors, and a PCB. Because it has no moving parts, this makes the SSD greater stability by eliminating the mechanical delays and failures when compared with a traditional hard drive. SSDs use the same interface as hard disk drives, thus easily replacing them in most applications.
